The firm of Hendrikus L. Ras AIA has provided custom architectural and landscape design since its inception in 1980. The office is located in Suburban Maryland and provides licensed architectural design in the District of Columbia, Maryland, Virginia, Pennsylvania and New Jersey. Mr. Ras is NCARB and LEED AP BD+C Certified
Past design projects have included Additions, Alterations, and Remodeling projects as well as new residences and light commercial designs.
The personal involvement of the owner in all projects means the highest level of attention to detail and overall client satisfaction.
In addition to his architectural practice, Mr. Ras has been involved in many design-built and construction projects. This experience is reflected in the use of materials and overall design quality of the projects. He is well known for maximizing the usable floor space, thereby maximizing the owner's investment.
The office is located in Rockville Maryland just outside the Capital beltway and is outfitted with the latest technology. Drawings are prepared in AutoCAD. Services provided include feasibility studies, construction document preparation, permit drawings, cost estimating,
specification writing, etc. Many projects have included models and color renderings.
Past clients included Ambassadors, Artists, Doctors, Engineers ,Judges, and Real Estate agents.
The firm has established an excellent relationship with some highly talented design professionals and can provide engineering services such as Structural, Mechanical and Electrical Engineering if necessary.
